Trump gets humiliated as his top Kennedy Center artistic official resigns just TWO WEEKS after his hiring was announced, marking the latest setback for the teetering institution.

Kevin Couch, the center's Senior Vice President of Artistic Programming, announced his departure on Wednesday and suspiciously failed to provide an explanation for his resignation. That said, one can hardly blame him for deciding that he doesn't want to be associated with the increasingly radioactive Kennedy Center.

Numerous prominent artists ranging from Lin Manuel Miranda to Issa Rae have canceled their performances at the center in protest of Trump's efforts to wrap his grubby hands around the once-respected center. At the same time, ticket sales have totally collapsed. Trump's attempt to rebrand the center as the "Trump Kennedy Center" has only made matters worst. Normal Americans want nothing to do with the place.

The January 16h announcement of Couch's hiring by Richard Grennell, the center's MAGA lapdog president, now reads like a bad joke—

"We are proud to welcome Kevin Couch to the Trump Kennedy Center as we expand our common-sense programming. Kevin brings a cleareyed approach to curating a roster of compelling shows that invite and inspire all audiences," stated Grenell.

The departure marks the second time in just four months that the center finds itself without its top programming official. Couch's predecessor left after nearly a decade in the position.

The ongoing unraveling of the Kennedy Center proves the truth behind that most evergreen of observations: everything that Donald Trump touches dies.
