Senator Mark Warner sounds the alarm that he's "greatly afraid" that Trump will invade polling places with ICE agents during the midterms to intimidate voters.

This is the scenario that we've been fearing the most...

"I am, we are all, greatly afraid with these roving ICE vans that we see in Minneapolis and other cities. Could those ICE roving vans be used to try to go and intimidate voters at the polling station?" Warner said on "The Contrarian" podcast with Jennifer Rubin.

"These are all things that, you know, sounded maybe way out or draconian a year ago or a year and a half ago, but they are at our front door right now," Warner added.

One can easily imagine a scenario where ICE agents roll up in a blue city, detain large groups of voters regardless of citizenship status, and then wait until the polls close to release them from custody. The result would be a mass suppression of votes and a major advantage for Republicans.

Warner pointed to Trump's recent calls for Republicans to "take over" and "nationalize" voting in "at least" fifteen states as another particular cause for alarm. MAGA shadow puppeteer Steve Bannon also recently said that ICE agents should "surround the polls" during the midterms.

On top of that, Trump's corrupt FBI recently raided the Fulton County election hub in Georgia under the supervision of Trump's Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard and seized the center's 2020 ballots, tabulator tapes, ballot images, and voter rolls. The likeliest explanation is that MAGA is working to manufacture evidence to support Trump's false claim that the 2020 election was stolen. They could then use that fake evidence as a pretext to interfere in the midterm elections under the guise of "stopping fraud."

Senator Warner said that Americans have become "so immune that the president saying he wants to disregard the Constitution, encouraging one political party to take over the election system is not the news that’s screaming, you know, ‘Everybody listen.’"

Warner further added that Trump's attempt to nationalize elections could result in "tinkering with the vote totals" or "bringing in the Army under the Insurrection Act."
