Every single Democratic governor bands together to slam Trump's call to "nationalize" elections under the Republican Party - stating that he's "openly talking about rigging" the vote.

Maybe Americans will finally listen now...

"Voting in free and fair elections is the foundation of our democracy. All Americans deserve to have their voices heard as they exercise their right to vote, without interference from the federal government," the twenty-four blue governors wrote.

"President Trump's threats to remove the ability of states to run their own elections is an undemocratic attempt to silence the American people who are rejecting his costly and divisive agenda," they continued.

Trump recently called for Republicans to "take over" and "nationalize" elections in "at least 15 places." Clearly, he's looking for ways to undermine our democracy because he's heading for a massive blue wave due to the economic effects of his disastrous tariffs, his murderous ICE crackdowns, his fascist foreign policy, and the worsening Epstein scandal. He is the greatest failure in the history of the American presidency and voters know it.

"While Trump whines about losing a free and fair election, he's now openly talking about rigging one in the future. Democratic governors won't let that happen," the group wrote.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who serves as the vice chair of the Democratic Governors Association, stated her unequivocal commitment to protecting her state from Trump's authoritarian power grabs.

"Our nation has a long, proud history of running decentralized federal elections," she stated in a video on X. "It's a system that was designed by our Founding Fathers to protect us against those who would try to take and hold power illegitimately or by force.

"And because of that system, America remains the longest-running representative democracy in the world. For 250 years, we have set a powerful example, and we must continue to follow it," she added.
