Bill Clinton comes out swinging on Epstein and demands the full release of the files as well as a public testimony instead of a "closed-door kangaroo court" from terrified Republicans. The Clintons have officially called MAGA's bluff... "I have called for the full release of the Epstein files. I have provided a sworn statement of what I know. And just this week, I’ve agreed to appear in person before the committee," the former president wrote on X. "But it’s still not enough for Republicans on the House Oversight Committee." "Now, Chairman Comer says he wants cameras, but only behind closed doors," he continued. "Who benefits from this arrangement? It’s not Epstein’s victims, who deserve justice. Not the public, who deserve the truth. It serves only partisan interests. This is not fact-finding, it’s pure politics." "I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about," Clinton concluded. The public throwdown from Bill follows a similar one from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton— "For six months, we engaged Republicans on the Oversight Committee in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath," she wrote on X. "They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction." "So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it—in public," she added. You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there." House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has stated that the Clintons will not be "treated differently than everyone else" and is pushing for the Clintons to deliver their depositions on Epstein in a closed-door setting before the committee rather than a public hearing. Clearly, Comer is covering for Trump who's terrified that the Clintons will expose more sordid details about his lengthy predatory friendship with Epstein. The Clintons are fierce public speakers and can be expected to tear through Republican obfuscations and distractions to say exactly what they believe needs to be said on this issue. Even more concerning for Trump is the idea of a precedent being set that former presidents can be subpoenaed to testify publicly about Epstein. He can't stand the thought of being forced to speak under oath about the billionaire pedophile because he'll either expose or perjure himself. In a desperate effort to defuse the Clinton problem, Trump has suddenly begun singing their praises, stating that it "bothers" him that "somebody’s going after Bill Clinton." “I liked Bill Clinton. I still like Bill Clinton.… I liked his behavior toward me. I thought he got me, he understood me," Trump said. We'll see if he still "likes" Bill Clinton after he delivers his Epstein testimony.
