Over 50 advocacy groups unite to demand the "immediate impeachment" of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after a string of incompetent disasters and ICE-related killings.

The pressure just got ratcheted way up...

-Secretary Noem's tenure has been defined by a dangerous violation of public trust, obstruction of Congress and oversight, a blatant disregard for constitutional protections, and state-sanctioned conduct that places U.S. citizens and lawful residents in immediate peril," a letter sent to congressional leaders by Vote Latino and over 50 other groups reads.

The signatories also include the Human Rights Campaign, the Service Employees International Union, and United Farm Workers. The alliance of organizations voiced their approval for a resolution introduced last month after the killing of Renee Good by Representative Robin Kelly that called for Noem to be impeached. That resolution now has over 187 co-sponsors.

At this point her list of failures and outright crimes is so long that it hardly seems necessary to recount them all, but the letter pointed specifically to Noem's obstruction of oversight, her agency's illegal use of deadly force, and her shockingly cruel targeting of minors - notably 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos whose heartbreaking photo went viral.

"Secretary Noem has fundamentally failed to exercise the sound judgment and constitutional discretion required of her office," Voto Latino stated. "The tragedies in Minnesota … are the devastating results of a department operating without restraint. Under Noem's stewardship, the DHS has transitioned from a security agency into an instrument of unchecked enforcement that operates outside the bounds of human dignity."

As if her ICE reign of terror weren't bad enough, Noem has also come under fire from Republican Senator Thom Tillis for her utterly botched handling of the federal response to Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. He called her an "amateur" also said that "what she's done in Minnesota should be disqualifying" and that "she should be out of a job."

We couldn't agree more. Impeach Kristi Noem!
