Trump announces a shocking plan to pump $10 billion of YOUR money directly into his corrupt "Board of Peace" slush fund which he controls without any approval or oversight from Congress. This is a broad daylight heist of your hard-earned tax dollars... "I want to let you know that the Unites States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace. Thank you," Trump said at the inaugural meeting of his sham "Board of Peace." "And we've had great support for that number and that number's a very small number when you look at, uh, that compared to the cost of war," he continued. "That's two weeks of fighting. It's a very small number. Sounds like a lot but it's a very small number so we're committed to $10 billion." The Board of Peace is an international organization that Trump created out of thin air. Nations who are willing to pay $1 billion are given permanent seats on the board, which carries no obvious tangible benefits beyond further ingratiation with Trump personally. It's a transparent effort to create a massive dark money slush fund that Trump can use as he pleases. The suggestion that will somehow bring about "peace" is laughable, especially since Trump used the very same meeting to threaten war with Iran. While the $10 billion that Trump has promised from the United States would ostensibly go towards aid for Gaza, you can rest assure that it will not be used to help the Palestinian people. Far more likely, it'll be laundered into Trump's pocket or used to fund real estate development for him and his cronies in bulldozed regions of the Gaza Strip. The obvious stumbling block for Trump here is the money itself. The president cannot simply allocate $10 billion to a grift like this because Congress controls the purse strings. There's simply no world in which Democrats support this kind of wasteful allocation, meaning that Trump will have to devise a convoluted way to illegally appropriate the money.
